I stumbled on this site one day when I was looking for some information on teams. There is an amazing amount of information about one of the most difficult leadership challenges– building and leading teams.

Professor Jack Lynch

If you need the occasional assist with the English language, and who doesn’t, go to this site. Its open most of the time on my computer. Dr. Jack Lynch is an associate professor of English at the Rutgers University Newark campus.

Carrot Culture

This is the website that goes with the book The Carrot Principle by Adrian Gostick and Chester Elton. The site has some forms referenced in the book and a lot of other stuff to help you start a genuine recognition program. From the statistics cited in the book, I would conclude that a lot of leaders need to visit this site.

Harvard Business Publishing Videos

Thanks to my father for this one. This site is a collection of video interviews on a wide variety of business related topics.

Personal Development Planet

This site is a little different but has a lot of good ideas about self-development. Good leaders must always remember to take a little time to take care of and develop themselves. This site has a lot of good ideas about how.

Project Gutenberg

There are several sites that offer free books but I like this one best. Project Gutenberg has a fantastic collection of old books that are out of copyright and free to download and read. There are some limitations on use, depending on different factors that are explained on the site.

TED

TED stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design. If you haven’t already heard of TED, it is a conglomeration of short (18 min) videos of thought leaders presenting various topics. Caution: you can loose track of time on this site!

Meet the Boss TV

This site presents interviews with interesting people who have been successful in business. There are several categories and plenty of videos with some great ideas. The videos are professionally produced. The site is by the Hay Group.

The Teaching Company

I always advise leaders to be well rounded and The Teaching Company provides excellent tools to help in that endeavor. They offer numerous video and audio courses on a wide variety of subjects. The courses are all taught by college level professors who are experts in their fields and recognized for teaching excellence.
