Managers lead people. It’s a fact that’s often overlooked in much of the business world. Now more than ever, even with the current economic and employment situation, people who are not happy with their jobs will quit and look for something else. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that close to 2 million people quit their jobs every month. These people weren’t fired, laid-off, or the victim of a failed business. They just quit.
Other studies indicate that the majority of people who quit their jobs quit because they don’t like their boss. That seems like pretty good incentive to improve the boss-employee relationship.
Bob Mason has 30 years of leadership experience and has learned the best ways to deal with this specific issue. He founded RLM Planning and Leadership to help others benefit from the great leadership lessons he’s learned. His mission has three parts:
1. Develop new and mid-level leaders.
2. Help organizations create great strategic plans.
3. Educate leaders on the need for leadership development and planning.
